What you are saying about Space Hoppers?
Hi, I have two of these things and they are great fun. I have
one large and one slightly smaller (space hoppers that is). my
kids bounce about on them, my wife and I plus friends get
sozzled and leap about on them..... take my advice and get some.
hey, I stand to get shot down by the hoards by this, but very few of the early ones were BLUE. Seen one once, not a lot of people know THAT! Cheers Simon Hi , If you remember I sent you a piccy of a my Space Hopper a few days ago, well what d'ya know I went to a car boot sale on Wednesday and picked up another S.hopper :) for the princely sum of a £1. I must admit it was pretty grubby and half deflated, but I got home, pumped it up & set to at cleaning it, and here's the result. (Enclosed Piccy) I see you are bidding on one on eBay, good luck on winning it!
Best Wishes, Rich.
How do hey
, Tony For Interest; Good Luck to The Totnes Volley Ball Club (16/12/02) Hi
In the next few weeks we will be launching a new Web site for the Totnes Volley Ball Club "Space Hoppers" and are looking for pictures to use on the site.
We would like to use your bouncing Space Hopper picture on our pages and request your permission to do so.
In return we would gladly place a link to your site from ours and would be grateful if you could do the same for us once our web site is live. The address will be www.spacehoppers.net and will be used to publicise our club in addition to displaying results and other information.

Hi
Paul, WWW.RCOC.CO.UK (This letter was posted in with a picture) Hi Please find enclosed a photo of my Space Hopper. Bought around summer 2000, cost approx £70.00 off Ebay. Condition excellent, unused with original box. The box is fair to good with tape marks. All in all a good find, Yours Michael
HI THERE ,
A DIFFERENT SPACEHOPPER MADE
BY METTOY IN THE 1970'S .(SIZE 19 LISTED ON THE BASE , SIZE 64
BETWEEN HORNS).
THESE SPACEHOPPERS
WITH THE STRAIGHT HORNS WERE MADE FOR A SHORTER PERIOD THAN
THE STANDARD ISSUE WITH CURLED HORNS AND SO ARE RARER.
YOUR WEBSITE IS REALLY TAKING
SHAPE NOW AND IT'S A PLEASURE TO BROWSE THROUGH , KEEP UP THE
GOOD WORK.
THE OTHER IMAGE OF A BLUE
SPACEHOPPER ON YOUR WEBSITE IS THE SAME BLUE SPACEHOPPER I
HAVE , THE IMAGE SHOWN IS THE ONE USED ON EBAY WHEN I BOUGHT
IT. I SPENT HOURS CLEANING IT UP AND I THINK YOU CAN SEE THE
DIFFERENCE ?
REGARDS.
JASON.
Hello
I have a TV piece on the Spacehopper and the person who was
responsible at Mettoy for putting the Spacehopper into
production. There is footage of Hoppers being made at the
Mettoy plant and there is more footage of the Spacehopper. You
probably have this footage?. My 12 year old boy has 2 Mettoy
Hoppers one is in mint condition and the other is very good-I
will mail some pics in the new year. I picked up these 2
Spacehoppers up years ago for very good prices if my memory
serves me well. Just like the Raleigh Chopper the Spacehopper
is a great item of the 70's.When we got hot summers like
in 76 the damn things would bounce like an over inflated
football and were great for booting around and using them as
footballs followed by shouting LORIMER.
Happy New Year
All the best
Dean.
Hello again
Forgot to say that my Son also has a 70's spacehopper
made by the Wembley company. It is similar to the Mettoy
hopper in the fact that it has a face on the front of it and
it is orange. It has smooth horns. I have seen another one
like it about 10 years ago. I will mail a picture of it in the
new year.
See You
Dean.

deprivation on some poor kid).He is a man of many tastes and
one is listening to 8 track cartridges of Jimi Hendrix and co,
on this fab orange space age Weltron 2001 8 track
player.Anyway Mark bye for now and keep up the good work.
All the best for 2003
Deano.
